About MoneyVision

MoneyVision reports on markets, the global economy and crypto through the day, in plain English, with the prices and charts that go with each story.

How the articles are made

Our articles are written by an automated newsroom. It reads what news organisations and official bodies (central banks, statistics offices, governments and companies) publish, groups the reports about the same event, and writes one article in its own words using only the facts in those reports. Software checks every article for passages that follow a report too closely, and has them written again. A story is rewritten as it develops.

The articles are not read by a person before they are published. If you find a mistake, please tell us (below) and we will correct it.

Prices and charts

Stock index, commodity and currency prices come from free market data and can be delayed by 15 minutes or more. Crypto prices come from CoinGecko and refresh every minute while a page is open. A market that is closed shows its last price, marked closed.

Not advice

Nothing on MoneyVision is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing here tells you to buy, sell or hold anything. Prices go down as well as up, past moves say nothing about future ones, and crypto in particular can lose most of its value quickly. Speak to a regulated adviser before you make decisions about your money.
