Bitcoin fell to a seven-week low as the Nasdaq slid into a correction. Liquidations, which are forced closings of leveraged bets, topped $1 billion.

Bitcoin dropped below $77,000 after stalling near $80,000 earlier in the day. It now trades at $75,180.68, down 6.53%.

Ether fell 8.88%, Solana 7.32% and XRP 7.96%. Tokens tied to the Trump family also fell after Democrats won both chambers of Congress and eyed a broader crypto bill.
