Using the site means accepting these terms
By reading an article or using a tool on MoneyVision, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, the remedy is simple and costs nothing: stop using the site. There is no account to close and nothing to cancel.
These terms are between you and the operator of this site, whose identity and contact details are on the contact page.
What this site is
A collection of written explanations and a small number of tools about trading, decentralised finance, investing, lending and tax. It is published as general information and education. It is not a financial service, not a broker, not an exchange, not a custodian and not an adviser, and using it creates no professional or advisory relationship of any kind. The disclaimer is part of these terms and you should read it.
The figures and the tools
Every number this site produces is an estimate, whether an article computed it from inputs you changed or a tool reported it. Each page states the assumptions behind it, and those assumptions are simplifications of a messier reality — real fees, slippage, funding, spreads, taxes and market behaviour are not fully modelled and in some cases are not modelled at all.
Check the output before acting on it. It can be wrong because the model was wrong, because the assumption did not apply to your case, or because you mistyped a number, and only one of those three is something we can fix.
What you may and may not do
You may read, print, quote and link to anything here, including for commercial purposes, provided you attribute the quotation and link to the page it came from.
You may not:
- republish substantial parts of the content as your own, with or without a machine rewriting it in between;
- copy the site wholesale, mirror it, or scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other people;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service;
- remove or obscure attribution, dates, disclaimers or advertising;
- present anything here, or its output, as regulated financial advice from anyone.
Ownership
The words, the page designs and the code behind them are the operator's, except where a page says otherwise. Quoting under fair dealing, fair use or the equivalent right where you live is unaffected by anything in these terms — that right is not ours to take away.
There is no user-generated content
This site has no comments, no forum, no reviews and no way to upload anything. That is deliberate. It means nothing you write can appear here, and it means we host no third-party content that would need moderating.
Advertising and links to other sites
The site carries advertising, and it links out to sources, documentation and further reading. We choose neither the individual advertisements nor the contents of any site we link to, and a link or an advertisement is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a warranty about whatever is at the other end. Once you follow one, you are on someone else's terms and someone else's privacy policy. Read the privacy policy for what advertising means for your data.
Availability and changes
The site is offered as it is, when it is available. It may be taken down, changed, corrected or withdrawn at any time without notice, and articles may be revised or removed as facts change. There is no commitment to any level of uptime, and no obligation to keep any particular page or tool in existence.
No warranty
Everything here is provided without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows: no warranty that the content is accurate, current or complete, that a tool is fit for your purpose, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free. The subject matter changes quickly, and a page that was correct when it was written can be wrong by the time you read it — which is why every article carries a date.
Liability
Decisions about your own money are yours. To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from using this site or relying on anything published here, including trading losses, lost profit, lost opportunity, tax consequences or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. If you use the site as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection law of the country you live in applies whatever these terms say, and these terms do not take away those rights.
Privacy
How the site handles data is set out in the privacy policy and the cookie policy. Both form part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The revision date at the top of this page moves when they are, and continuing to use the site after that date is acceptance of the current version. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator is established, which is stated on the contact page, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country, nor of the right to bring proceedings there where the law gives you that right.
